About Spectrum

Spectrum Alliance is an umbrella network of disability groups which was established to help promote the work of the organisations involved and also to increase awareness regarding the rights and entitlements of those affected by a range of developmental disorders (hidden disabilities) such as Asperger Syndrome, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia and ADHD in Ireland. These disabilities are often interlinked – for instance it is quite common for a person diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome to also have co morbid conditions such as Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) and Dyspraxia.

To further promote the activities of the network to parents, teachers, professionals and adults affected by one or more of the conditions represented, the Alliance proposes the development of a joint international conference on issues of co morbidity between the conditions.

Mission Statement

The Spectrum Alliance Mission Statement is:

'Raising Awareness of Hidden Disabilities'
